First-year students who are especially creative and independent thinkers are invited to apply to the Benton Scholars Program. Benton Scholars take a course together in the spring, receive financial support to pursue independent projects in the summer, and work together in the fall to develop public presentations of those projects.  Afterward, Benton Scholars participate in – and drive – a communal life of vibrant intellectualism and creativity on campus.
