Art & Art History Lecture: Chris Duncan

Chris Duncan is Baker Professor of Visual Arts at Union College in Schenectady, NY. He graduated from Colby College, attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture as a Zorach Scholar, studied at the New York Studio School and ran the sculpture studios at Bennington College for three years. Duncan has exhibited widely, most recently this fall at Project Art Space in New York City. In 2018 he had solo exhibitions at Galerie im Petrushof in Obermarchtal, Germany and at Pratt/Munson-Williams-Proctor Institute School of Art, Utica, NY. He’s exhibited at the National Academy, NYC; Carrie Haddad Gallery, Hudson, NY; Allan Stone Gallery, NYC; New York Studio School; School of Visual Arts; RICO Gallery, Brooklyn; and Art Basel/Miami. Awards include a Guggenheim Fellowship and a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant. He was Mellon Faculty Exchange Fellow at Skidmore College, and has been a visiting artist at a number of institutions including the American Academy in Rome and Dartmouth College.
