“Are All My Thoughts Beliefs?”
Ben Lennertz, Assistant Professor, Department of Philosophy
Philosophers have asked whether particular kinds of thoughts are, fundamentally, beliefs: whether desires are beliefs about what is good, intentions beliefs about what one will do, and moral judgments beliefs about what is right. In this talk I explore a radical picture of the mind in which all seemingly different kinds of thoughts are, fundamentally, just beliefs.
