Adam Samuel Goldman, the Christian A. Johnson Artist-in-Residence, introduces his semester-long project, An Agreeable Kind of Horror, with this performance-lecture. Opening on a dry history of the 18th-century Grand Tour, the talk shatters into a mosaic of tangents—the birth of the sublime, architectural fantasies, souvenir mugs, Gen-X aesthetics, disaster movies—setting the stage for an ambitious semester of projects, programs, and transdisciplinary collaborations across the Colgate campus.

A reception for the artist immediately follows the talk.

This event is free and open to the public
