 person.\n\nHiba Ali is a producer of moving images\, sounds\, garments and
  words. Born in Karachi\, Pakistan\, they belong to East African\, South A
 sian and Arab diasporas. Their current work includes a project examining w
 omyn of color’s labor and the architecture of surveillance as it exists 
 within the monopoly of Amazon (corp.) and a series of works that addresses
  music\, cloth and ritual practices that connect East Africa\, South Asia 
 and the Arabian peninsula in the Swahili-Indian ocean region. This event m
 arks the inaugural collaboration with Squeaky Wheel Film and Media Art Cen
 ter (Buffalo\, NY).\n\nThis series is made possible by a grant from the Ne
 w York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul
  and the New York State Legislature.
