Upstate New York has long played an essential role in the history of contemporary media art. This program of short films unites works made by key players in Upstate media art ecologies, tracing overlapping trends in video art and 16mm filmmaking across five decades from artists living in Ithaca, Binghamton, Hudson, Syracuse, and the Catskills. Featured artists include Philip Mallory Jones, Videofreex, Larry Gottheim, Peggy Ahwesh, Emily Vey Duke, Cooper Battersby, and Daïchi Saïto.
