A Dialogue with Sophia Ward-Alston '03 on Personal Lessons on Stress Management

Dr. Sophia Alston has been an administrator in higher education for the past seventeen years where she created and managed student success programs, built partnerships, and managed grants. In addition, she has over ten years of teaching experience in higher education focusing on education, race and ethnicity. These experiences have provided her with an in-depth understanding of what is needed to cultivate student success with a focus on equity. She is currently the Postsecondary Career and Technical Education (CTE) Manager for the Association for Career and Technical Education. She also serves as a consultant to organizations and individuals around student success programming, career and technical education, equity issues, and leadership development. She resides with her husband, daughter, and German shepherd dogs in South Carolina. Please join ALANA Cultural Center and MOSAIC.  Dinner will be served.
