Introduction to American Sign Language and Deaf Culture

This four-part series gives a brief look into ASL and deaf culture. Participants will gain a basic understanding of ASL, such as the alphabet, finger spelling, common phrases, emergency phrases, family, relationships, and deaf culture. No materials needed, just come ready to participate!
Lesson 1: Overview - Deaf Culture
Lesson 2: Basics - Alphabet
Lesson 3: Basics - "How are you? Etc"
Lesson 4: Basics - Topic determined based on group interests
There may be the opportunity for additional sessions based on participant feedback.
