About this Event
The Panel will explore the events leading up to and following the 1968 sit-in at the Administration building. This pivotal moment in Colgate’s history will be described within the global context of the tumultuous events of “The Year That Rocked the World”. Each of the panelists brings a unique perspective on what really happened in sleepy Hamilton, N.Y. in April of 1968, and why this non-violent act of defiance and solidarity prompted a painful and revealing exercise in self-examination.
