Living Writers Series: Hilton Als reading

White Girls is the most recent work by Hilton Als, winner of the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for Criticism. He is also the author of a memoir, The Women. His work has appeared in The Village Voice and The New Yorker, where he is a staff writer. A finalist for a National Book Critics Circle Award, he has won awards from the New York Association of Black Journalists and from the Guggenheim Foundation, as well as the George Jean Nathan Award for Dramatic Criticism. Als lives in New York City and teaches at Columbia University.
