Living Writers guest: Bill Barich, Colgate '65, Author of Laughing in the Hills
Bill Barich graduated from Colgate in 1965, then went on to publish a serialized version of his account of racetrack life, Laughing in the Hills, in The New Yorker, where he became a staff writer. Mr. Barich is the author of nine other books, fiction and nonfiction, including A Fine Place to Daydream, which explores the Irish passion for horses and steeplechase racing. His most recent book is An Angle on the World, a collection of writings that have appeared in The New Yorker and elsewhere. He lives in Dublin, where he has worked as a screenwriter on NYPD Blue and the HBO racing series, Luck.
