Free Event Add to calendarIn these days of turmoil in the U.S. Department of State and in U.S. foreign policy this presentation will examine the current “state” of affairs, focusing on the question of whether– in this age of instant communication and easy travel– there is an ongoing need for diplomats and, if so, what their role should be.
Facilitator: David Hopper and his wife Susan retired to Hamilton in 2010 after long careers in the U.S. Foreign Service. Their overseas assignments included Germany, India, Sweden, Poland, China, Australia, and Canada. Hopper was Principal Officer at the Consulates General in Melbourne and Chennai.
