"Getting Ready to Teach" Workshop: Moodle Assignments & Assessments

Moodle: Creating Assignments and Assessments  60 min

Participants will come away with an understanding of both the assignment and assessment features available in Moodle. You will learn how to create different types of assignments and review submitted work. In addition, we’ll explore a range of tools Moodle has available to support both formative and summative assessments. We will reserve time at the end of the session for guided practice and consultation building your Moodle course site.

Topics will include:

  • creating and releasing assignments

  • reviewing submissions

  • PDF Annotation

  • returning submitted work for revision

  • entering grades and comments for assignments

  • creating and releasing quizzes

  • overriding quiz grades and resetting attempts

  • using the Choice tool to create simple polls

  • Using the Hot Question tool to post/vote questions
