"Getting Ready to Teach" Workshop: Getting Started with Moodle

Moodle provides an online platform for managing learning content and facilitating communication in your course. This session will provide participants with an introduction to Moodle 3.1 and how to set-up your course. This is an ideal opportunity for those new to Moodle or for those looking to refresh their understanding of the basics. We will reserve time at the end of the session for guided practice and consultation building your Moodle course site.

Topics will include:

  • Basic course layout and settings

  • Course Blocks configuration

  • Managing course documents

  • Making course site available

  • Communicating with students

  • Discussion Boards

  • Backing up your course
