Building an Inclusive Colgate Open Forum
Inclusive Colgate, a student initiative to advocate for a respectful and inclusive campus, invites you to an open forum on Building an Inclusive Colgate this Monday, April 16th from 4:30pm-6pm at the Ho Atrium.
This open forum will offer an opportunity to discuss steps to eliminate racial discrimination on campus, present blueprints of recommendations to the administration, and gather feedback from the larger Colgate community in order to establish stronger and longer lasting anti-racism initiatives. At this forum, we welcome all voices for respectful and constructive discussions. All members of the Colgate community, including students, staff, and faculty, are encouraged to attend. Pizza, wings, and drinks will be served.
Through this open forum, we hope to develop feasible steps that we could, both collectively and individually, work on to create a more respectful and inclusive campus. We intend for the recommendations from the open forum to help guide the administration in its efforts, in concert with the community as a whole, to take concrete, sustainable measures toward improving the Colgate experience for all students, especially students of color and international students.
We hope to see you next Monday afternoon and look forward to a productive conversation.
